Why Powerwest

Athletes first

The mental and physical well-being of our athletes is paramount. Athletes develop at different paces, and each one gets individual attention. Our coaches give kind and specific feedback to athletes at the individual and team level. While our club is competitive, we feel every athlete has something to contribute on the court and off the court.

Strongest coaching on the North Shore

Led by Sue Soolsma, head coach of the Capilano University women’s volleyball team, our coaching roster is staffed by experienced, independent and kind coaches focused on getting the best out of our athletes.

Compete to win

Club volleyball is competitive, and every athlete plays a strong role on the team. We build winning teams through commitment to teamwork, practice and team goals, and we believe in competing in both Canada and the US.
